Pokutian Bloom
About this item:
This piece of jewelry is a reconstruction of an old bead necklace (silyanka), whose original has been preserved only in photographs. The pattern for its recreation was designed by artisan Liliya Kvіtka. The necklace originates from the village of Toporivtsi, Horodenka district, ethnically part of Pokuttia, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Distinctive features of this silyanka include a bright ornament in traditional regional colors—red, green, blue, and yellow. The geometric pattern intertwines with floral motifs, while the lower edge is adorned with an openwork fringe, adding lightness and dynamics to the piece.
